Eyelash Extension After Care & Maintenance
To prolong the life of your investment, please follow these after care tips.
The first 24 hours: Avoid getting your lashes wet to allow the adhesive to fully cure. Refrain from excessively touching your lashes.
The first 48 hours: Avoid any hot steam from showers or saunas as well as tanning salons or swimming.
Always avoid sleeping on your lashes. Consider a protective satin sleep mask.
Brush your lashes morning and night, brush only when the lashes are dry. Use the brush provided.
Do not use mechanical eyelash curlers. Your technician can provide you a heated lash curler that is safe and easy to use.
Do not use any waterproof or 24 hour long lasting makeup, liner, shadow, or mascaras.
Use only oil-free cleansers around the eye. Wash off makeup using a cleansing foam and fingertips and warm water, and oil free makeup remover and a q-tip or flocked applicator if any is left behind. Never use makeup removing wipes or pads even if oil free.
Wash your extensions in the shower or bath with warm water and lash cleanser (sold through your technician) 3-4 times per week.
Blow dry on a cool setting after cleansing.
Always avoid exposure to heat as the lashes can melt or lose their curl. Bonfires, BBQ’s, ovens, open flame, etc.
You can enjoy your beautiful lashes with little adjustment to your lifestyle. Your eyelash extensions can last up to 4-6 weeks depending on the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes and proper maintenance. The life cycle of an eyelash is 60-90 days. Lashes will naturally shed at the end of their life cycle and fill-ins (touch-ups) will be necessary every 2 to 4 weeks to replace the fallen lashes and the new growth of other eyelashes.
You can lose up to 5 lashes per day during a normal lash cycle. Do not be alarmed! This is normal.
If you need your extensions removed for any reason, book an appointment with your technician. Do not attempt to remove the extensions yourself. It is a fast, painless procedure that will protect your natural lashes.
It is recommended to pre-book your fills to make sure you will be able to get your appointments in a timely manner.
